Des chercheurs de l'université de
Boston, qui, il y a deux ans, ont déterminé que la bulle de gaz raréfiée
entourant la Lune s'étendait sur 5 000 milles de haut, de nouvelles études
montrent que l'atmosphère lunaire atteint deux fois plus loin.
Nous avons été surpris de
constater que cette lueur s'étendait à plus de neuf fois le rayon de la Lune, à
une hauteur d'environ 14 000 kilomètres, ou 9 000 milles au-dessus de la
surface de la Lune", a déclaré Mendillo.
